COMPEX SPORT ELITE: 9 TRAINING PROGRAMS
This program is designed to activate the aerobic metabolism muscle fibers during the session. Program helps to establish or improve basic muscle endurance and is designed to increase the average intensity of muscle effort over that must be maintained over a long period of time.
Designed to activate the anaerobic metabolism of the muscle, this program helps increase the time a muscle can maintain a higher work level. It is designed for sporting activities, which are characterized by a need for intense efforts to be maintained or repeated to approach the limit of muscle exhaustion.
Designed to help increase strength by imposing a high and instantaneous power working level on the muscles. It is specifically designed for sports characterized by a need for maximum but very brief strength contractions lasting 5-60s.
Helps to increase the speed with which maximum muscle strength can be supplied. Designed to improve performance in activities of very brief duration such as jumping, sprinting and throwing.
Produces a muscle twitch. Runs at a low frequency and increases local blood flow, warming the muscle tissue, and increase reaction of the muscles prior to a workout or competition.
Training Recovery / (Active Recovery)
Produces a muscle twitch at a low frequency. Increases local blood flow, leading to a faster reduction of lactic acid than mere rest, promotes muscle relaxation and helps enable a faster recovery.
Competition Recovery / (Recovery Plus®)
Runs at a lower frequency for inducing gentle muscle twitches, increase local blood flow, generate endorphins (the body's natural analgesic) and promotes muscle relaxation when muscles are fatigued after a vigorous workout or competition.
Muscle Relaxation / (Message)
Produces a muscle twitch. Runs at the lowest frequency possible to help relax muscles that are fatigued after a workout or competition.
Recommended before a workout or competition, especially for sports requiring speed and velocity. Applied briefly just before the beginning of a competition, it offers immediate, well potentiated muscle fibers and an optimal level of performance.

Great Supplement to RecoveryCompex Sport Elite. Great supplementary tool for recovery. Does exactly what you want it too. Use it frequently post workout while I relax.Pros: Great adjustable intensity, really helps when some spots are more sore than others. Also the multiple programs are sweet addition (ie. recovery, endurance, strength etc...)Cons: More instruction on how to connect the cables would be helpful. I find myself questioning whether some pads are working. Sometimes I have to switch around the positive & negative cables - especially when it comes down to the dual-cabled pads.Your Fitness Interests: CrossFit, Swimming, Snowboarding
It works.I use this after crossfit workouts, and am very pleased. I mostly use the Elite for post workout recovery. My recovery feels night and day quicker than pre Compex. I'm am by no means a serious competitor, just looking to improve myself. I would absolutely recommend trying this for any level athlete.Pros: Easy to use the programs. It just plain works.Cons: My cheap side hates the price, but loves the product.Your Fitness Interests: CrossFit, Fitness
Phenomenal Recovery ToolGot this unit in preparation for an ACL/Meniscus repair on my left knee. Not being able to Crossfit and lift had me worried about muscle mass and muscle/joint function. Started using this unit 3 days post op and it immediately helped loosen up my knee and allowed me to increase my ROM tremendously. Using the unit on my quads and hamstrings right now has helped tremendously with muscle awakening and activation post surgery. Showed up to my first PT appointment and they were astonished at how much actual strength and muscle control/contraction I was able to produce. I can't wait to use this as a recovery aid and supplement to my WODs and lifting sessions.Pros: Easy to use, Long battery life, compact size and travel ability.Cons: sometimes pad placement can be difficult to keep consistent.Your Fitness Interests: CrossFit, Swimming, Snowboarding, Fitness
An additional tool in your recovery arsenalI train olympic weightlifting and long distance running so was looking for a tool to add to my collection. I was able to purchase this at a good discount an add it to my recovery tools. I had similar used on me at chiropractors and felt that it helped relax my back. I only use the recovery profiles. I do not think the noted benefits are great enough to pay full price however every little bit helps. I enjoy being able to use the quad recovery programs at work when I have morning runs and evening lifts scheduled to help my quads recover.Pros: Easy pad placement with colored wires recovery tool to use as part as larger recovery programCons: Display lack of recovery programs in pad placement guide durability of pads Cannot turn all 4 channels up at once.Your Fitness Interests: CrossFit, Body Building, Running, Swimming, Surfing, Snowboarding, Fitness

I like it. Very useful.Ok, did tons of research on EMS. Lots of it not true and lots of it spot on. It's hard to weed it all out. My cousin helped me make that final decision to give it a try. She's a physical therapist at a retirement home and studied sports therapy when she was in school. She gave me the ins and outs of it all and said for what I wanted to use it for it would totally help with it.
These units are nice because they have the programs already built into them which is a plus if you nothing about how to set something up like these. Basically these are solely setup for EMS. Not anything else but that. They have other units out there that might be cheaper but you have to make up your own program or get a physical therapist to design one for you for what you want to do.
I like it and it does the job. I probably could have done just fine if I had gotten a cheaper Compex unit but I wouldn't have known that unless I got the one I got. Either way I like mine but if I needed a second one I'd get the with less features.Pros: Does its job nicely. More than powerful enough for me. Sends you right to the pain train if you wanted it to.Cons: Nothing I can find at this point. Been using it regularly for a month with the same pads three to five times a week without a issue.Your Fitness Interests: Running, Cycling, Swimming, Fitness
310 miles in 4 days of riding without pain - incredibleRide Allegheny is a fund raiser each year for the wounded warriors, it takes riders to Pittsburg and they ride back toward Washington Metropolitan Area. I used the Recovery Plus and Massage settings each evening on my quads, hamstrings and calves. It was nothing short of a miracle to be able sustain the mileage without lactic acid build up.Pros: Flushes muscles of lactic acid. Allows for recovery overnight when over use is anticipated.Cons: Pull the trigger - it is a game changer. No Cons!Your Fitness Interests: Body Building, Cycling, Triathlon
Excellent!Absolutely surprised of the power and deep massage you received through the device.Your Fitness Interests: Cycling

Broke within a month :( and snaps come off the padsI really like my Sports Elite, but I hadn't had a month when the plastic broke off one of the leads. I had to send a picture to customer service, and they said they would send me a new one. Still waiting, a week later, so I can only work on one side at a time. Plus, the snaps keep coming off the long electrode pads - at first they stuck in the electrode, but now one has gotten lost so that pad is unusable. Pretty unhappy about that given the high cost of the unit. Also, more thorough instructions about how to use the unit would be helpful.Pros: Works great, I guess, since I'm basically winging it.Cons: Poor construction on the leads and indifferent and slow customer service. Really bad...well, basically non-existent...instructions on how to use the unit most effectively.Your Fitness Interests: CrossFit, Running
